The new Black. It is fact that Black has been our best friend for so many years. Good old trusty, the go-to color in every woman’s wardrobe for all occasions. Blah Blah Blah. Welp, this Summer, our old friend has met its match. White is taking over and become a very professional, practical, and sexy option. 

Keep it simple stupid. 

I say that in the most loving way. Let’s save a bit of time when picking out next Friday’s outfit, shall we? No more spending hours deciding what colors to match and what prints go together. The decision is now super simple, just put on the White! It is an excellent neutral and can be conveniently paired with almost every pair of shoes, handbag, or accessory in our closets. I hate to sate the obvious but make sure your whites are indeed white, or it will defeat the purpose! 

Blank Canvas

What is really fun about this trend is that it is open to interpretation. This is your blank canvas! Soft, crisp, oversized, or cropped, this summer’s white pieces run the gamut, so try to mix textures, weights, and layers. Slip on an all-white suit, or go with the crop top and pencil skirt combo. Keep it classy and most importantly don’t forget the necessary skin toned undergarments. It is imperative to avoid the trashiness of a distracting cheetah print bra and lacy neon underwear showing through your pure ensemble!

Risky? Hell no. 

I was shopping with a friend a few weeks ago who refused to buy White because she felt it was risky. She was concerned the piece would easily get stained and ruined. Wee, here is my response to that…Life is too short! Just take the risk for the season, put on the standout shade, and it will totally be worth it when all eyes are on you!
